Sandwich Panels

Crossfire develop the technology to produce various typologies of Structural Sandwich Panels based on the unique behaving of Crosspreg® laminates. The hybrid resin very low viscosity is driven to either saturate the fabric and to perfectly glue the substrates; it can also glue additional aesthetic surface laminates like wood, paper, steel, aluminum, IMC films, stones and ceramics etc.

 The process is quick, single step, by Press Molding:

  • EcoVP-tech

  •  PET foam cores 
    • any thickness, any weight, Virgin or Recycled; 
    • Flat and shaped (it requires a dedicated mold) and variable thickness without core precut: 
      • the panel is recyclable by grinding one shot without dismantling. The grinded residue obtained is used to reinforce in Thermoplastic compounding. 
  • CrossCore® or 3DCore cores 
    • any thickness, any weight, Virgin or Recycled; 
    • The very low resin viscosity at molten stage is driven to fill and cross through the core transversal cuts and create a Resin based HC structure; 
    • Flat and shaped (it requires a dedicated mold) and variable thickness without core precut: 
      • the panel is recyclable by grinding one shot without dismantling. The grinded residue obtained is used to reinforce in Thermoplastic compounding. 
  • Lantor Soric cores
    • any thickness, any weight, Virgin or Recycled; 
    • The very low resin viscosity at molten stage is driven to fill and cross through the core marks (and not the unpressed mass) and create a Resin based HC structure; 
    • Flat and shaped (it requires a dedicated mold) and variable thickness without core precut: 
      • the panel is recyclable by grinding one shot without dismantling. The grinded residue obtained is used to reinforce in Thermoplastic compounding. 
  • HC cores
    • Nomex, Aluminum and Paper HC are suitable cores for a single step, flat or shaped, panel forming.
